Before you run out and invest into one more expensive piece of gym equipment or plunk down another chunk of money on some fad diet, you should know that there are simple things you can do right now, that can help you lose weight and keep it off.
An ebike helps to keep you fit at your own pace. For example, you may choose to use the e-bike’s no pedal feature when going to work and use it as a regular bike after work. Or if going for an adventure on weekend, you can alternate both. In the long run, as you continue to do this, you may find it that you are improving and enduring the long pedals.
The second tip is to keep your chain lubricated with a good bike chain lubricant. This will keep your bike running smooth and efficient and it won’t make that squeaky “old bike” noise! Just apply the lubricant to the chain and let it sit a few minutes before wiping off the excess lubricant with a shop rag. Eventually you will need to clean the chain with a degreaser to remove all the excess dirt that has collected on the chain. I will do a video tutorial on this soon.

Pre-kit, you may have promised yourself repeatedly that you will start riding to work or to the shops instead of jumping in the car to take the ten-minute trip. Take your time in selecting the best bici that goes well with you and your lifestyle. If possible, do some comparison shopping. For the most part, don’t be in a hurry to buy one. Actually, on any major purchase, you should really spend a moment or two in doing some comparison shopping.
Pedal assisted riding is a great way to enjoy an electric bicycle. During the pedal assist riding, there is no need to turn off the power switch, you may keep the switch on. This will feel just like riding a normal bicycle. When you quit pedaling the power will continue to assist in a short glide, then continue to pedal again. While riding you can turn off the power switch and do all the work yourself, when you get tired just turn the switch back on.
If mountain biking has peaked your interest, make sure to get proper gear and training before attempting dangerous stunts. This sport can be fun, but can also be hazardous. So, choose your bike well, hit a famous trail, get some practice, and then maybe you will become a biking champ. Until then, hit the dirt!
