I feel like I am always behind. I stress when tax time comes. My lack of organization makes me wonder if I am financially secure. I don’t want to get in trouble with the IRS. I am always behind and don’t know my numbers. I am afraid that I am not getting the benefits of deductions I know I should get.
Then out of the blue, the umpire declares that it is match-point… to your opponent! You can’t believe it. You go back to the baseline and set yourself up for this big point. But it’s too late to get your mind back into gear and you hit the return wide. The game is over, the final is lost. If only you’d been able to track the score during the game. You would have been able to fight back earlier.
It’s so easy to get caught up in a sweet sweet business dream especially when you see others making money at it. A good example is the Internet Marketing Niche… You’ve got thousands of products out there that promise to make you money online, and many of these courses were written by people who bought other courses about making money online, then they too created their own… and the trend continues.
In a work setting, a person gets protection if he is qualified to perform his fundamental job duties. Communication might be considered a fundamental job duty in many positions. In many cases, people’s stuttering is not severe enough to pose a serious problem for his job qualification.
I went to a local accounting firms who had found financing for my brother to do a photo book about the local agricultural community, and asked him if he knew of anybody who might be willing to finance our machine.
Now if you are talking to a marketer that will do everything for you including all the ‘mail-outs’ then you probably haven’t got a very good marketer. Their time is not valuable enough.
Finally, there is the mindset change. Believe it or not, many people who become successful find that they no longer have the drive to work their business. They would much rather be out playing ball or whatever it is they enjoy doing. After all, that’s why you’re in business to begin with. You want to make enough money to be able to do the things you enjoy doing. Ah, but can you do those things and get away with letting the business slide? If not, something has go give. Either that or you have to force your mindset to change. As somebody who is now very successful, it isn’t easy to motivate myself to work each day.
